Bangladesh is known for its spicy food and desserts and it is often called the paradise of food lovers. Rice is the staple food of Bangladesh. Rice, fish curry and lentils are the most common and traditional foods of the country. It is also famous for its desserts which is mostly made from rice and cow milk.
1. Morog - polao of Nanna Biriani -
Morog - polao is a very special dish of Bangladesh and is cooked at special festivals and ceremonies. Morog - polao is specially cooked rice with large portion of chicken, served with a special drink named “borhani”. A very tasty and famous food of Bangladesh.
2. Vuna Khichuri -
Vuna khichuri is another famous food of Bangladesh. It is made of rice, dal, and meat – chicken or beef. Rice is cooked dry with dal in a special way, and meat is added with it.
3. Mishti Doi -
Sweet curd served in ceramic bowls. The best doi we found comes from a chain of shops called “Rosh” in Dhaka.
4. Grilled Chicken -
The chicken is very specially grilled here, and served with their special bread.
5. Beef steak -
If you are a steak lover, you must taste the beef steak (“Goru chop” is the local name). Speciality of this steak is, it is very spicy and full of masala.
